Annemarie is a Social Entrepreneur, holds an education degree and is a Director and CEO of various Business Enterprises in South Africa.
Annemarie joined Rotary in 1997 after receiving a PHF recognition for her leadership and community work.
She has received the following recognitions and appointments:
• In Nov 2016, she received the Rotary International United Nations Award for Responsible Business Owners, in New York – a recognition bestowed on only 6 business owners in the world.
• A Rotary International President’s personal representative for the conference for D2451 in Egypt.
• Rotary International Public Relations Award of the World in 2005.
• Is the International Lead Trainer for Rotary International Assembly for 2023
• Rotary International Convention Committee for Calgary, 2025– 6 RI members worldwide.
• Annemarie hosted the Rotary International Centennial Celebrations for Africa in person in 2005 in Johannesburg and the Virtual Africa Centennial Celebrations in April 2021.
• A former Rotary Assistant Regional Coordinator for Membership.
• Ambassador for Empowering Girls for Zone 22 Region 28 since 2021.
• She hosted the Regional Training Team Seminar in Johannesburg in 2022.
• Appointed as Trainer and Moderator for RTTS in Madagascar in June.
• Lead trainer for Governor Elect Training Seminar in Zambia in September.
• She is also a member for the development task force for Intercountry Committees for Zone 22, Africa.
• She is a CADRE - member of the technical advisor’s team to The Rotary Foundation
• Annemarie serves in various positions on zone, region, district and club level– too many to mention.
• She has been 4 times a president of a club and charted the Rotary E-Cub of Southern Africa, her home club – currently the biggest in Southern Africa.
• She has introduced over 52 members, raised more than R25 million for different Global Grants, serves for past 5 years on the Rotary Africa magazine board and contributed to women empowerment publications.
Annemarie is a Major donor, Benefactors, PHF Society Member and Bequest Society member.
Hans and Annemarie have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
PRESIDENT ELECT Sanette Mostert E-club of Eagle Canyon 2023/2024
Sanette is a dynamic elevation optimal performance coach, holds an Honors Degree in Sports Science and owns various SMEs.
Sanette joined Rotary in 2021 as she is passionate about giving back and cares about making a positive impact in the community. Her heart beats with an unwavering dedication to community service.
From a young age she possessed an innate desire to uplift and improve the lives of those around her. Her genuine compassion and empathetic nature make her a beacon of hope in the community. She takes a holistic approach to her involvement by rolling up her sleeves and getting involved so she can make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Working for many years to help leaders and teams to improve their performance mentally and physically she would want to inspire more teams and communities to reach their goals, making small habitual changes and sustaining it.
Her vision for the Rotary E-Club of Eagle Canyon is to create a thriving and inclusive club where every member has equal opportunities; and where compassion, support and empowerment are at the heart of our collective actions. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to foster a strong sense of community; inspire social change and improve the lives of those in need. Together, we envision a future where every person feels valued, where no one is left behind, and where the power of unity drives positive transformation.
Sanette has 2 beautiful children.
Michiel Johannes Rossouw
Michiel Johannes Rossouw (Mike) was born in Worcester (Western Cape) in 1956 and matriculated in 1974. He received his Internal Audit Qualification from the Technicon Witwatersrand and UNISA in 1991. After a couple of years at his first job, Mike joined Trust Bank in 1985 as a Credit Manager in Sandton. He then joined the Internal Audit team during 1990 and retired as a senior auditor at the end of October 2019.
At Absa Internal Audit he specialised in Credit Risk, provided advice and monitoring with respect to key internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
He was certified as a Fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors of South Africa in 2013.
Currently, he performs duties as the managing agent of the residential sectional title complex he resides in.
To keep fit and healthy, he does walking 5 times a week and also participates in day hikes once a month.
Reason for joining:
In the "second half" of this life game we all compete in, I ponder a lot on "how can I make the most of my life and serve to change lives".
There are elements in my design and skill set that I am sure I can offer the world and sincerely hope that I can make a difference.
